JOB SUMMARY 
As the face of Highmark Credit Union, the Universal Teller I delivers exceptional member experiences by handling financial transactions with accuracy, professionalism, and care. This role goes beyond processing transactions—it focuses on building trusted relationships, identifying member needs, and connecting members with products and services that enhance their financial well-being.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
  • Greet and engage members warmly, ensuring a professional and positive first impression.
  • Process a wide range of financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, cashier’s checks, and money orders.
  • Accurately balance cash drawer daily while maintaining strong attention to detail and compliance with policies.
  • Actively listen to member needs and recommend credit union products and services that improve their financial lives.
  • Support members with service requests such as stop payments, wire transfers, and address changes.
  • Demonstrate strong product knowledge to cross-sell and refer members to specialized staff when appropriate.
  • Maintain confidentiality, comply with all regulatory and policy requirements, and safeguard member information.
  • Contribute to a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Participate in training and meetings to stay current on policies, products, and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the team and organization

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 6 months of cash handling or transaction-related experience.
  • Basic knowledge of financial services and standard business practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and apply regulatory, legal, and policy requirements.
  • Must pass required background check.
